WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 -- Raul Ruidiaz scored twice and Nicolas Lodeiro added a goal and two assists as the visiting Seattle Sounders upset host Los Angeles FC 3-1 in Major League Soccer's Western Conference final on Tuesday.
The Sounders advanced to the final for the third time in four years and will play against the winner of Wednesday night's Eastern Conference final between Atlanta United and Toronto FC. The final will be held on Nov. 10.
If Atlanta win, they would host Seattle in the final, while Seattle would play host if Toronto capture the East title.
Los Angeles midfielder Eduard Atuesta scored on a free kick in the 17th minute, but Sounders striker Raul Ruidiaz and midfielder Nicolas Lodeiro found net apiece in the next ten minutes to help the visiting team overtake the lead. In the second half, Ruidiaz struck home again to secure the victory for Seattle.
Seattle won the league title in 2016 and lost to Toronto FC in 2017.
