BEIJING, Nov. 26 -- Attendees of the 3rd China-EU CEO and Former Senior Officials' Dialogue, which concluded Tuesday in Beijing, called for efforts to comprehensively strengthen bilateral ties.
Chinese representatives stressed that China and the EU, two anchors of stability with global influences, should enhance cooperation to improve the rules-based multilateral system and global governance framework, and jointly seek solutions to problems.
China and the EU should consolidate bilateral relations and tap the partnership's potential in areas like healthcare, digital economy and third-party market exploration, said Chinese representatives, adding that it is vital for the two sides to expand common ground in addressing issues including trade frictions, WTO reform and climate change.
The European side underscored that China and the EU should join hands in deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership, advancing economic and trade relations, and promoting innovations.
The annual China-EU CEO and Former Senior Officials' Dialogue is committed to advancing the development of China-EU economic and trade relations. The 2nd round of dialogue was held in Brussels in November 2018.
