1、The sensible man is not influenced by what other people think.

明智的人不为别人的想法所影响。

2、Do not be led by reports, or tradition, or hearsay.

不要被任何报导、传统、或流言所左右。

3、May all beings be happy and secure ; may their mind be contented!

愿所有的人都幸福安宁，内心满足！

4、Desire causes suffering because it can never be completely gratified.

慾望会导致痛苦，其主要原因乃是慾望永远无法完全满足。

5、To be attached to one thing （to a certain view） and to look down upon other thing （views） as inferior--this wise men call a fetter.

固执某一件事物（或某种见解），而轻视其他事物（或见解）是卑鄙的，智者称它为「束缚」。

6、Bonds do not exist for those to whom naught is dear or not dear.

没有贪爱和憎恨的人，就没有束缚。

一个人应该舍弃愤怒，拔除傲慢，超越所有的束缚。不执着心灵和物质的人，内心可以得到真正的安宁，而不受外在的影响。
