The Palmeiras soccer team authorized on Friday a group to help bring Ronaldinho Gaucho back to Brazil and play for their team.
In order to attain the player, the group is looking to round up three million Euros.
The group hired by Palmeiras consists of Roberto Tadeu, Ricardo Mendes and Luciano Martins. The businessmen created a model on how to get in the star midfielder. However, they did not reveal the total amount of money need to purchase the player.
"We already have a good amount of money put together. My partners are scurrying around in order to raise at least 3 million Euros. I believe that will be enough in order for Milan to release the athlete from his contract," said Mendes.
Head coach of Palmeiras, Luis Felipe Scolari, admitted to having requested Ronaldinho. He said he proposed a list of 18 players to Palmeiras president Luiz Gonzaga Belluzzo.
Ronaldinho currently has a contract with Italy's AC Milan until July 2011. The Italian club recently expressed its interest in re-signing the player, extending his contract into 2012.
