　　Dear Editor,

　　I am a faithful reader of your newspaper and I am writing this letter to attract your attention to the pollution of the air. With the number of private cars increasing, the exhaust from automobiles has become a key shaping factor for air pollution.

　　To crack this hard nut, I would like to propose several practical recommendations. Firstly, we can explore environment-friendly energy instead of fossil fuels. Secondly, public transportation ,such as buses and subways, should be encouraged and promoted so that we can have a smooth transportation。Last but not the least, the concerned department has the responsibility to increase the public awareness of environmental protection.
