　　My name is Li Ming, and I am an ①undergraduate student of Marketing in Nanjing University. During the last four years, I have been studying hard and also working hard for the Students Union. I am careful to ②keep a balance between study and ③extracurricular activities. I have won from the University various scholarships for my good study and my efficient Students Union work.

　　Im interested in business and wish I could ①further my study overseas. I choose Columbia University because you have a long history and enjoy a good reputation in this field. I believe my interests are extremely ②congruent with the strengths of your school, and my solid academic background will meet your general entrance requirements for graduate study.
