People s opinions vary greatly when it comes to whether technology widens or narrows the gap between the poor and rich .Some people think that technologies are widening the gap. The reason lies in the face that poor people are less likely to access the advanced technologies, especially considering the high cost.
Others, however, argue that technologies are indeed bridging the gap. Firstly, they say, the availability to the range of technology is making people s life more efficient, thus ensuring them more time to do some other things, such as a part-time job. Secondly, in the so-called information age when advanced technologies are vital, once people have a sound knowledge of the technology, they can easily find a well-paid job.
Personally, I tend to regard technology more as a blessing than a curse. Due to the highly developing technology, most people are given much more chances to be successful. For example, tanks to the popularization of the Internet, everyone can have access to the up-to-date information in both business field and scientific researches, which is vital for their further development.
