　　我所谓准确大略相当于严复的信。严夫子说：求其信而大难矣。我说:信则万事毕矣。准确有很多方面的含义。首先是意义的准确，这似乎无庸赘言。但是，诗与散文不同，它的内容与形式是有机地统一的，换句话说，即诗的意义至少部分是体现在形式之中的。所以，翻译散文可以得意而忘言，译诗则不可以。
