I would like to wish you and your families a happy new year.
在此我祝愿你和你的家人新春愉快，新年快乐！ 2012 is an important year for many historical reasons.2012年因蕴含着许多重大历史因素而显得尤为重要。 2012 marks the 70th anniversary of cooperation between our two nations during World War II. Our soldiers fought side by side here in southwest China. They faced great hardships and ultimately experienced great triumph.2012年是美中两国二战并肩作战合作70周年。当年我们两国的军队在中国西南地区联合抗战。我们彼此经受了巨大的考验和迎来了最终的胜利。
It also is the anniversary of another historic occasion. Forty years ago, President Nixon traveled to China – the first time an American President had ever done so while in office.
