　　【When were you born?】

　　When were you born?你是什么时候出生的？

　　这是一个询问某人出生时间的句型。本句型常常用一般过去时。也可用where 提问出生地点。例如：

　　When were you born?I was born in 1956.

　　你什么时间出生的？我出生在一九五六年。

　　Where was she born?She was born in Shanghai.

　　她出生在什么地方？她出生在上海。

　　When and where were you born?I was born in Taiyuan in 1987.

　　你是什么时间什么地点出生的？我在一九八七年出生在太原。

　　【表示时间介词的用法】

　　英语中表示时间的介词有on,in和at.他们都表示在的时，但具体用法有所不同。On 一般用于某一或某些确定的或不确定的日期。In 表示在某一段时间。at表示时间的某一点。例如：

　　on May 1,1998在一九九八年五月一号。

　　On Sunday 要星期天。

　　On Monday morning 在星期一早上。

　　In may 在五月。

　　In spring 在春天。

　　In the morning 在上午

　　At two oclock 在两点钟。

　　At night 在晚上。

　　【Because my father found work in Paris.】

　　Because my father found work in Paris.因为我父亲在巴黎找到了工作。

　　Because 表示因为。用于回答以why（为什么）引导的特殊疑问句。例如：

　　Why are you late again?Because I got up late today.

　　你为什么又迟到了？因为我起床迟了。

　　Why do they study hard?Because they want to study well.

　　为什么他们学习努力？因为他们想学习好。

　　【Are you enjoying living here?】

　　Are you enjoying living here?你喜欢住在这儿吗？

　　enjoying 是enjoy 的分词形式，表示喜欢，喜爱。enjoy 后面接名词或分词,不可接动词不定式。例如：

　　Do you enjoy your work?

　　你喜欢换和工作吗？

　　We all enjoy swimming very much.

　　我们都喜欢游泳。

　　He doesnt enjoy living in the city.

　　他不喜欢住在城市里。

　　【Half 的用法】

　　Half 表示一半，在表示半个或者半的时候，同中文表达方法不一样，请注意例句中的区别：

　　Half an hour 半个小时。

　　Half a year 半年

　　One and a half years 一年半。

　　One year and a half 一年半。

　　Five and a half days 五天半。

　　Five days and a half 五天半
