高中英语语法-“善后”的表达法

　　善后的表达法

　　　　7月25日，炮火再伤联合国驻黎巴嫩临时部队和军事观察员，而这一次，中国人不幸上了死亡者名单。在对遇难人员表示深切哀悼的同时，胡锦涛主席立即指示有关部门妥善处理我遇难人员善后工作。

　　　　President Hu demanded the Chinese departments concerned properly handle the aftermath of the incident and take every measure necessary to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals in Lebanon， said the statement from Chinese Foreign Ministry.

　　　　很多时候，在汉语上下功夫才是中英文互译的突破口。要译好善后，得首要理解善后的含义灾变丧乱后，妥善处理遗留问题。单词aftermath指the result following a bad event such as an accident or war（由事故或战争而导致的结果），很确切地表达了汉语余秧，余波的内涵。

　　　　由此，善后的相应英文表达就是to properly handle the aftermath of the accident。资讯中，由上下文，accident可用incident（空袭这一事件）来代替。另外，handle和deal with做处理时也可互换。
