　　考点拾遗之九地名与冠词

　　 1.概述

　　大多数地名不用冠词,但也有很多的地名必须要加上冠词,这与地名的构成有关,也与习惯有关。

　　 2.用法指南

　　 1.自然界中的一些地理名称大多要加the,例如:河流、湖泊、运河、海洋、海峡、沙漠、山脉。

　　河流:the Yellow River 黄河 the Nile 尼罗河

　　湖泊:the West Lake 西湖 the Great Lakes 五大湖

　　运河:the Panama Canal 巴拿马运河

　　海洋:the Pacific 太平洋 the Atlantic 大西洋

　　海峡:the English Channel 英吉利海峡

　　沙漠:the Sahara 撒哈拉大沙漠

　　山脉:the Rocky Mountains 洛基山脉

　　 2.只有一个词的国家名,一般不加冠词。

　　 China 中国 France 法国 Russia 俄罗斯 Brazil 巴西

　　 3.由普通名词构成,或含有普通名词的国名或地名前须加the。

　　 the United Kingdom 联合王国

　　 the United States 美国

　　 the People's Republic of China 中华人民共和国

　　 the United Nations 联合国

　　 the Summer Palace 颐和园

　　 the Great Wall 长城

　　 the Temple of Heaven 天坛

　　考点拾遗之十时间与冠词

　　 1.一周中的七天,一年中的月份不用冠词。

　　 We have Mr. Lee's class on Wednesday.

　　我们周三有李先生的课。

　　 Christmas Day is on 25th of December.

　　圣诞节是12月25日。

　　 2.节日不用加冠词。

　　 Easter 复活节 National Day 国庆节

　　但如果节日中有festival,通常须加上冠词。

　　 the Spring Festival 春节

　　 3.四季名称可加the,也可以不加the, 但是在in the fall 中的the不能省略。

　　 Spring/The spring comes earlier this year.

　　春天今年来得早一些。

　　 4.last+表示时间的名词不加冠词。

　　 last Wednesday 上个星期三 last week 上周 last month 上个月

　　 last year 去年 last century 上个世纪

　　 5.下列表示时间的词与介词 at连用时不加冠词。

　　 at noon 在正午 at night 在夜里 at midnight 在午夜
