　　1.-Hey, whats up? We havent formally met,

　　1. Whats up?你好吗?，相当于Hi，Hello

　　e.g.某人，小杨到汤姆家作客。汤姆有两个孩子。小孩一见到小杨就说：Whats up!小杨回应说，I am fine!。孩子们都笑了。后来汤姆解释说，小孩子说Whats up!是Hello的意思，你不用回应或说Hello即可。

　　e.g. -Hey ,whats up, buddy? 怎么样啊，老朋友?

　　= -Hey, What have you been doing ?　这些日子在干什么呢?

　　其他打招呼用语

　　1)- How are you doing?

　　- Im doing good.

　　How are you doing 这句话运用的最出神入化的要算是老友记里的Joey,他每次见到美女都会跟人家搭讪说How are you doing.

　　类似的问好方式还有：

　　Hows everything going?

　　Howdy!

　　Whats up?

　　几句话都相当于你怎么样?你好吗?但如果细究，第一句似问对方最近一切是否顺利;第二句据说是从How do ye? 这句19世纪初的问候语简化而来;而第三句则侧重问对方那里有没有资讯，但实际就是打招呼。

　　口语中常用Break a leg。It is used to wish someone luck,especially just before they perform on the stage.

　　第二课 语法篇

　　1. If引导的非真实条件状语从句

　　-Listen, Iwouldnt singwith you if my hairwason fire andyou werethe last bucket of water on Earth.

　　- Iwouldnt singwith you if Iwere starvingandyou werethe last pickle at the picnic.

　　听着，我不会和你一起唱歌除非我头发着火而你是世界上最后一桶水。

　　我也不会和你一起唱歌除非我饿死而你是世界上最后一罐泡菜。

　　析：此句话条件句用了一般过去时，主句用了过去将来时。表示一种虚拟语气。

　　虚拟语气用来表示说话人的主观愿望或假想，所说的是一个条件，不一定是事实，或与事实相反。非真实条件句表示的是假设的或实际可能性不大的情况，故采用虚拟语气。

　　时态：可以表示过去，现在和将来的情况。它的基本特点是时态退后。

　　a.　同现在事实相反的假设。

　　句型 ： 条件从句，　 主句

　　一般过去时，　 should +动词原形

　　If they were here, they would help you.

　　2.比较级和最高级

　　- Win the part? - Thinkbigger

　　- Become superstars? - Thatsbetter
