　　The silver Arowana has a unique predatory behavior. They are usually found in the shallow waters and stay close to shore and wait for prey to swim by. They usually keep laterally to a downed tree, to hide. They attack their prey by jumping out of the water, to catch large insects, other fish, or small birds in low hanging branches. This behavior has earned the fish the nickname water-monkey.
