2011年9月11日的那场恐怖袭击在美国人内心深处留下了难以磨灭的烙印。这个重大的历史事件影响了一代人，他们也因此被冠上了“9·11一代”的名号。

Generation 9/11 refers to the generation of people who were enrolled in high school or university on September 11, 2001.

“9·11一代”是指在2001年9月11日进入高中或大学的那一代人。

除了generation 9/11，9/11 generation也可以指代这一代人。

For Example：

After the deadliest attack on American soil in the history of the republic, the generation that previously seemed directionless and without a fitting title now had one — 9/11 Generation. "After Sept. 11, there was a definite change," said Luke Punzenberger, president of Marquette University Student Government. "It's something I can't put my finger on. You walk down campus and it just feels different."
