巴黎气候峰会和北京最新发布的雾霾红色预警让人们不得不开始关注气候变化和污染的问题。很多人开始意识到日常的生活方式对环境也可以产生影响，并且积极开始向绿色生活方式转变。

关注气候变化的气候素食

Climatarian means choosing to eat a diet that has minimal impact on the climate, i.e. one that excludes food transported a long way or meat whose production gives rise to CO2 emissions.

气候素食（climatarian）指选择一种对气候影响最小的饮食习惯，比如，不吃那些长途运输的食物，不吃那些会增加二氧化碳排放的肉食，等等。

For example:

Climate change is not normally on people's minds when they choose what to have for lunch, but a new diet is calling for people to go ‘Climatarian' for their health and for the planet.

人们选择午饭吃什么的时候通常不会考虑气候变化的问题，不过，有个新的饮食习惯正在号召人们为了自身健康和地球的未来加入“气候素食。

There are some signs the public is starting to take such advice on board. They include the release of an ‘EatBy' app that reminds consumers to use up food in the fridge, and a new social network to help people adopt a ‘climatarian' diet that shuns meat from gassy grazing animals, such as beef and lamb.

有迹象表明，公众开始接受这样的建议了。比如，有一个叫EatBy的手机应用会提醒人们把冰箱里的食物都吃光，还有一个新的社交网络鼓励人们开始“气候素食，让人们拒绝食用能够产生大量气体排放的食草类动物的肉，比如牛肉和羊肉。
