Red carpet moochers refer to those actresses dressing glamorously and walking the red carpet of international film festivals. They usually did't appear in any of the films.

“毯星指的是那些在各大国际电影节上衣着高调走红毯，却两手空空、没有作品的女明星。

5月18日晚，首富王健林之子、“为娱乐圈操碎了心的王思聪转发了一条讽刺走红毯女星的微博，称“某冰某予为"毯星"(red carpet moochers)，根本无作品且不会演戏，火起来主要靠绯闻(rumors)、水军(water army)和炒作(play the publicity stunt)。

“毯星之说一出，即刻成为微博最热门话题(the most talked about topic)。当下不少女明星通过各种形式拿到各大国际电影节的入场券，再穿着夸张的服饰出现在红毯，流连忘返希望增加话题度(hang around to be noticed)，甚至上头条(make a splash)。这就有了本届戛纳影展上的东北大花袄(floral print gown)和外媒笔下的身份不明来宾(unidentified guests)。

女星蹭红毯已经见怪不怪，但怎样蹭得得体大方，还得考验女星的“毯商。
