分数词主要有作定语，或是主语、宾语等，但有时也可用作状语。如：　　
China is one-sixth larger than the United States. 中国比美国大六分之一。　　http://yingyu.chazidian.com
It was one-fourth cheaper than the market price. 它比市场价格低四分之一。　　
Houses cost one third more this year than they did five years ago. 今年房价比五年前上涨了三分之一。　　
The bottle had been about three-quarters full then. 那时瓶子里约莫四分之三满。
