A: I can’t get my son stay in line these days. He keeps on getting trouble at school.
B: Like how? Is he stubborn or lazy?
A: A little of both. He persists in writing his homework longhand, even though the teachers wanted it all typed. He says it is his right.
B: Wicked! You have raised a rebel.

A: 这些天我的儿子一直不听话。他在学校总是惹麻烦。
B: 怎么个惹麻烦？是固执还是懒惰？
A: 都有点儿。他的老师要求把作业打印出来，可他非要用手写。他说这是他的权利。
B: 天哪！你可养了个叛逆的孩子。

【语言点精讲】

stay in line: 排成一队。指举止得体，没有出格的行动。
longhand: 用手写而非用电脑打出的字。
rebel: 反叛者。
