杰夫:

Mr. White, may I have a word with you?

怀特先生.我能跟你谈谈吗?

怀特先生:

Of course, Jeff. What can I do for you?

当然可以.你有什么事吗?

杰夫:

This is difficult for me, because you and I have worked together for so long. But I`ve found a new position at another company.

这对我来说很难开口.毕竟我跟你一起工作了很长时间.但我已经在另一家公司找到了一份新的工作.

怀特先生:

So, why are you leaving? Is it something I`ve done, or haven`t done? Is there anything wrong here?

你为什么要离开呢?是我做错了什么.或还是有什么事没有做到?到底是什么问题?

杰夫:

Mr. White, you have really been great to me, and I am thankful that you`ve taken me under your wing and taught me so much. But I feel I`ve grown professionally as much as I can here, and I need some new challenges.

怀特先生.你一直对我很好.我非常感激你对我的帮助.教会我很多东西.但我觉得在这里学到的东西已经到极限了.我需要新的挑战.

怀特先生:

I am sorry to hear that. You know our company is newly-built one. Things will go better with development.

听你这么说我感到很遗憾.你知道我们公司刚成立不久.情况会随着发展好起来的.

杰夫:

Thank you for your help. But I still want to leave the company to seek development.

谢谢你的关照.我还是想离开公司另谋发展.
