I think it should be to bring up a child.

Steve：

It's different for every family, but the most important things are their children's education, their house, and health insurance.

每个家庭不一样吧，但大体上都差不多：孩子的教育、房子、医疗保险什么的。

Laura：

What about a car? Doesn't every family want one?

汽车呢?不是每个家庭所要追求的吗?

Steve：

Not for now at least.
