初中英语比较级用法误区

有些同学由于对初中英语比较级语法掌握得不是很好，经常在使用初中英语比较级时，走进误区，出现错误，小编整理了初中英语比较级用法误区，希望能帮助同学们提高英语的应用水平。

误区一：比较对象非同类

进行比较的两个人或事物必须属于同一类, 非同类的人或事物一般不能作比较, 否则容易造成逻辑错误。如:

你们的教室比我们的教室明亮。

误: Your classroom is brighter than us.

正: Your classroom is brighter than ours.

冬天的时候，长春比广州冷。

误: In winter the weather of Changchun is colder than Guangzhou.

正: In winter the weather of Changchun is colder than that of Guangzhou.

误区二：比较对象相包含

进行比较时，切忌一方包含另一方，从而造成自身与自身的比较。如:

这个房间是这栋楼中最大的。

误: This room is bigger than any one in the building.

正: This room is bigger than any other one in the building.

(any one包括了this room在内, 而any other one则将其排除在外了)

兄弟几个中，汤姆个子最高。

误: Tom is taller than any of the brothers.

正: Tom is taller than any of his brothers.

(the brothers中包括了Tom本身, 而his brothers则将Tom排除在外了)

误区三：认为比较级前不能用定冠词the

比较级前一般不用定冠词, 但在下列情况中，比较级前却需用定冠词the:

1.在比较级的句子中有of the two这类意义的词组时。如:

He is the thinner of the two boys. 他是两个男孩中比较瘦的一个。

2. 在“the+比较级, the+比较级”的固定结构中。如:

The busier he is, the happier he feels. 他越忙就越高兴。

误区四：混用介词in和of

最高级的范围常用介词in或of短语引出，但二者有区别：in后常接表示单位、组织等的单数名词，该名词与前面的主语不属于同类;而of后常接表示人或事物的复数名词，该名词与前面的主语属于同类。如：

Who is the strongest in your class? 你们班谁最强壮?

Ann is the oldest of all these girls. 安是这些女孩当中最大的。

误区五：“最……之一”结构误用

表示“最……之一”概念时，需用“one of +最高级+复数名词”结构，其中的名词不可误用单数形式。如：

Shanghai is one of the biggest cities in the world. 上海是世界上最大的城市之一。
