加强管理“星级饭店” star-rated hotels

国家旅游局副局长杜江7月26日在工作会议上称，为切实维护星级饭店良好的品牌形象，我国将逐步建立完善星级饭店的退出机制，及时将达不到标准要求的饭店淘汰出局。

The country is planning to accelerate a mechanism with which to strip poorly run hotels of their star rankings in order to protect the image of all the 15,000star-rated hotelsacross the country.

为维护全国一万五千家星级饭店的形象，国家计划加快建立星级饭店退出机制，以便将那些经营不善的星级饭店淘汰出局。

在上面的报道中，star-rated hotels就是“星级饭店。Star ranking指的是饭店的“星级，而“星级评定机制就是star-rating system。目前通行的旅游饭店的等级共分五等，即一星、二星、三星、四星、五星。五星饭店就是five-star hotel。

Ranking的意思是“排位，排名，作形容词时表示“……级别的、“……地位的。例如high-ranking hotels是指“高级别的饭店，high-ranking official指的是“显要官员。各行各业都有自己的rating system（评级制度），还有专门的rating agency（评级机构）。
