体坛英语资讯：Monchengladbach surprises Wolfsburg 4-1 at German Bundesliga

BERLIN, Aug. 19 -- Monchengladbach came from one goal down to turn its the Bundesliga match into a deserved 4-1 victory thanks to a double by youngster midfielder Marco Reus on Friday.

With 12 minutes into the match the Wolves opened the scoring after they finished a terrific buildup play through midfielder Makoto Hasebe who scored with a well-placed shot into top corner.

Only three minutes later Monchengladbach exploited an error by Wolves defender Simon Kjaer who tumbled to lose the ball in his own half. "Fohlen" striker Raul Bodadilla assisted youngster Reus who had no problems to level into the open goal.

Monchengladbach took over and extended the lead to 2-1 when referee Markus Schmidt awarded a penalty that was converted by defender Filip Daems at the 32nd minute.

Just before break Monchengladbach striker Bobadilla nodded home a corner to make it 3-1 on the scoreboards. Wolfsburg remained absolutely stunned and unable to defend the attacks by Monchengladbach.

At the 67th minute Monchengladbach sealed the deal with a terrific goal by youngster Reus who volleyed home a cross from inside penalty area to send the "Wolves" home with a heavy 4-1 defeat.

"We played well. The deficit was good for us because we have responded immediately. We were the better team and deserved to win," Monchengladbach coach Lucien Favre said.

"We started very well until a gross error. This error has tilted the game," Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath said.

The following teams will start into to third match day on Saturday: Defending champions Dortmund host Nuremberg, record champions Bayern Munich face Hamburg, Bremen encounter Freiburg, Stuttgart meet Leverkusen, Bundesliga newbie Augsburg welcome Hoffenheim and Cologne see Kaiserslautern.
