国内英语资讯:Xi inspects PLA aviation university ahead of Army Day

CHANGCHUN, July 23 -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday inspected the Aviation University of the Air Force in northeast China's Jilin Province.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), stressed further reform and innovation, as well as continuous efforts to improve teaching.

On behalf of the CPC Central Committee and the CMC, Xi extended Army Day greetings to the personnel of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), the Armed Police Force, the militia, and the reserve force.

China's Army Day falls on Aug. 1.
