天上的星星

我小的时候，家里特别穷。没有表，母亲就借天上的星星计时来做活儿。

冬天的晚上，母亲早早地给妹妹铺好被窝，把她安顿好，就开始做活。记得那天，北风呼呼地刮着。我趴在被窝里看书，总是嫌灯暗，但母亲却说这比她小的时候好多了，这就已经不算暗了。那时，我陪着母亲做活，有时看书，有时写作业。但时间不长就熬不住了，在纳鞋底的嗡嗡声中甜甜地睡去。第二天早上起来，我看见两只鞋底放在炕上，问母亲昨天晚上什么时候睡的。母亲的回答令我感觉新鲜至极--那就是“三星正南“的时候。因为我当时小，所以不知道三星正南是什么时候。反正是我一觉醒来，母亲在做，又一觉醒来，母亲还在做。我虽然不知道是什么时候，但觉得肯定很晚了。

过年，我们几个穿着崭新的衣服和鞋子同伙伴们高高兴兴玩耍的时候，我们不曾想过这是母亲经过多少日日夜夜才做出来的。有时天气骤冷，母亲几乎整夜不眠；第二天，我们看到母亲一夜做好的棉衣，感到格外亲切。这时，母亲也甜甜地笑了。
