体坛英语资讯：Kelanbaike leads Xinjiang to 120-111 win over Zhejiang in CBA

HANGZHOU, Jan. 5 -- The Xinjiang Flying Tigers secured their eighth straight win by beating the Zhejiang Golden Bulls 120-111 on the road in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Sunday.

Xinjiang had six players scoring double digits. Jarnell Stokes, who played once for Zhejiang, led Xinjiang with 35 points and 13 rebounds, while Kay Felder added 27 points and six assists.

"We did good job on defense, although some key players still missed the game. It's the team's victory!" Xinjiang coach A Dijiang said.

Marcus Edward Denmon and Sylven Landesberg combined to score 59 points but were unable to save the home side for their seventh straight win.

Zhejiang cut the gap to four with 2:48 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Then forward Kelanbaike came out strongly for Xinjiang, hitting two consecutive baskets from the arc and made both free throws to make it 113-101 with 1:20 minutes left, leaving Zhejiang unable to respond.

"Our players' mentality has changed after securing six straight win, we were not in our top form," Zhejiang coach Liu Weiwei said.

With the victory Xinjiang have consolidated their second position in the standings, while Zhejiang Golden Bulls are down to seventh.
