Costa Rica won the penalty shoot-out 5-3 to advance to the quarter-finals.

Costa Rica beat Greece on penalties later Sunday to reach the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time. That was the second penalty shootout of the weekend, following Brazil's narrow win over Chile on Saturday.
