什么是“汇率中间价”？

据中国人民银行授权中国外汇交易中心公布，5月8日银行间外汇市场人民币汇率中间价为1美元对人民币6.1980元，再创历史新高。

The People's Bank of China on Wednesday set the daily reference rate of the yuan against the dollar at 6.1980, the highest since China unified the official and market exchange rates at the end of 1993.

中国人民银行周三 Reference rate就是“参考汇率”，中国人民银行在相关报道中，peg这个词也需要大家注意。Peg在外汇词汇中指“盯住”，即“将本国货币按一个固定比率同一种外币或金价挂钩”，“中国取消人民币与美元挂钩”，可以用以下几种方式来表达：

Chinese currency was no longer be pegged to the US dollar.

China scraped/ditched yuan peg to US dollar.

China abandoned the currency's decade-old peg against the US dollar.
