葛兰素史克“贿赂丑闻”

公安部通报显示，近年来，葛兰素史克(中国)投资有限公司为达到打开药品销售渠道、提高药品售价等目的，利用旅行社等渠道，采取直接行贿或赞助项目等方式，向政府部门个别官员、医药行业协会和基金会、医院、医生等大肆行贿。

Senior executives at Britain's largest drugmaker, GlaxoSmithKline, allegedly accepted cash rake-offs and paid bribes to officials and doctors to boost sales and prices of its drugs in China, police said on Monday.

本周一警方表示，英国最大的制药集团葛兰素史克的高管涉嫌接受现金回扣，并且为提升药品在中国的销量和利润，向官员和医生行贿。

“贿赂丑闻” 回扣包括两种：一种是账外暗中的回扣，属于非法贿赂行为，可以用rake-off和kickback来表示，如Liang is reported to have taken rake-offs of nearly 2 million yuan. 另外一种是“账内明示”的回扣，即回扣记入正规财务账，可以用rebate表示，即“返现，回赠”，如Citicorp will guarantee its credit card customers a rebate on a number of products。
