TEHRAN, June 24 -- The Iranian men's weightlifting team won the trophy at the 2017 International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Junior World Championships in Japan, state TV reported on Saturday.

Iranian squad stood on top of the podium with 423 points and seized six medals.

Japan was second with 394 points and China garnered 391 points to rank third.

The championships took place in Tokyo, Japan from June 15 to 23, featuring 265 athletes from 50 countries and regions.
