体坛英语资讯：Indonesian gymnastic team eyes 1 gold medal in SEA Games

JAKARTA, Aug. 2 -- Gymnastic team of Indonesia has targeted one gold medal and one bronze medal respectively in artistic and rhythmic sports in SEA Games in Malaysia this month, an offical at the country's gymnastic federation said on Wednesday.

"Indonesian gymnastic federation has set a gold medal target. We expect it will be secured from artistic sport," said Dian Arifin, a senior official at the federation.

"In rhythmic sport we expect to get one bronze medal," the official said at the youth and sport ministry.

"We hope athletes will be able to maximally perform with good spirit," Arifin said.

Indonesia dispatches six male athletes in artistic sport, four female atletes in artistic sport and three female athletes in rhytmic sport, according to the official.

Malaysia and Vietnam are among the tough opponents for Indonesian team in the 29th SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia which is scheduled to be held from August 21 to 28.
