JAKARTA, Oct. 25 -- Host Indonesia is expected to get gold medals in at least eight sports, including badminton, bridge and weightlifting, in the 18th Asian Games next year.
Other sports are canoe, jet sky, paragliding, wushu and taekwondo, said Yuni Poerwanti, a senior official at the Indonesian youth and sport ministry, on Wednesday.
The official said that the number of sports potentially providing gold medals for Indonesian athletes may also increase.
Indonesia has set the target of ranking 8th to 10th in the Games with 15 gold medals.
