体坛英语资讯：Zambia picks final squad for CHAN tournament

LUSAKA, Jan. 6 -- Zambia has named a 23-man squad on Saturday ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.

Coach Wedson Nyirenda has blended young and regular experienced players in his final squad for the tournament, which only features players playing in the African leagues, according to a statement posted on the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) website.

The Chipolopolo are in Group B alongside Cote d'Ivoire, Uganda and Namibia.

The Chipolopolo will be making the third appearance at the tournament, with the team finishing third during its first appearance in 2009 before waiting seven years later to wind up at the quarterfinals stage in Rwanda.

The Zambian trainer has promised that his players were ready for the tournament which will be hosted by Morocco.

Goalkeepers: Moses Mapulanga (Nkana), Toaster Nsabata (Zanaco),Allan Chibwe (Power Dynamos)

Defenders: Simon Silwamba, Fackson Kapumbu (Zesco United), Lawrence Chungu, Sam Shamujompa (Power Dynamos), John Mwangeni (Nkana), Ziyo Tembo (Zanaco), Adrian Chama (Green Buffaloes)

Midfielders: Donashano Malama (Nkana), Kondwani Mtonga (Zesco United), Jack Chirwa, Mike Katiba (Green Buffaloes), Larry Bwalya, Godfrey Ngwenya (Power Dynamos), Augustine Mulenga, Ernest Mbewe (Zanaco)

Strikers:Friday Samu (Green Buffaloes), Alex Ng' onga (Power Dynamos), Martin Phiri (Zanaco), Lazarous Kambole (Zesco United), Chanda Mushili (Lumwana Radiants).
