MACHAKOS, Kenya, March 7 -- Kenyan champions Gor Mahia drew 0-0 with defending champions Tunisian Esperance on Wednesday at home in the first leg of the 2018 CAF Champions League.

Gor had several chances in the first half when Esperance struggled to settle into their passing rhythm in the watery pitch.

Esperance emerged from the break the marginally better side and threatened to poach an all-important away goal but their efforts were fruitless.

Gor should be content with a goaless draw when the two teams meet on March 17 in Tunis.
