体坛英语资讯：Hannovers Karaman joins newly promoted Dusseldorf

BERLIN, May 18 -- Kenan Karaman from Turkey has joined newly promoted Fortuna Dusseldorf from Hannover on a free transfer, both Bundesliga clubs announced on Friday.

The attacking midfielder has put pen to paper on a three-year deal, which keeps him with Dusseldorf until June 2021.

"With Kenan Karaman we have signed a versatile attacking midfielder, who despite his young age has already gained Bundesliga experience. We are convinced that he will help us, as his potential is not exhausted yet," Dusseldorf head coach Friedhelm Funkel said.

The 24-year-old played since 2017 for Hannover and made overall 86 appearances providing 10 goals. His performances in the Bundesliga secured him a spot in Turkey's national team where he made his debut in November 2017.

"I am so happy that my move to Fortuna has worked out. I am looking forward to the city, the fans and to an exciting time here," the new arrival told the club's official homepage.

Fortuna Dusseldorf completed the season 2017-2018 on the first place of the Bundesliga 2 standings. Hence, they secured their promotion to play their 24th season in Germany's top flight.
