体坛英语资讯：Robben to leave Bayern at season end

BERLIN, Dec. 3 -- Attacking midfielder Arjen Robben will play his last season with the German record champions, the Dutchman confirmed via Bayern Munich's official homepage on Monday.

After 10 seasons with the "Bavarians", Robben has confirmed that it will be his last season in the dress of Bayern Munich.

"I decided that it is good. Ten years have been a super nice and long period," the 34-year-old winger said. "I will be 35 year old in the summer and I think it is good for everyone, for me and the club as well. It is also a matter of feeling. I am still very happy at the club but the point is also coming where you say it is okay."

Robben has joined Bayern Munich from Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer 2009. Since then, he provided 65 assists and 98 goals in overall 198 Bundesliga appearances to lift seven Bundesliga titles, four German Cups and the 2013 UEFA Champions League, where he netted the winner.

The former Netherlands international also announced that he has not finally decided to hang up his football shoes. "It is still open, anything can happen. I will have enough of time to think about the future and what the next steps will be."

Bayern Munich's chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge hopes that Arjen Robben will be seen off with another career title. "Arjen has been an extremely important and highly-merited player since 2009 with whom we have won all the titles that can be won in the world of football. I wish him for his tenth season that we can add another trophy to his large collection," Rummenigge told the club's official homepage.

"I hope to be able to play an important role for the team and help them until the end. My goal is still to say goodbye with at least on title in the summer," Robben concluded his statement.

Bundesliga titleholders Bayern Munich sit currently on a disappointing 4th position in the standings with a nine-point gap to front-runners and rivals Borussia Dortmund.
