MADRID, Aug. 25 -- Antoine Griezmann scored twice as FC Barcelona fought back from a goal down to beat Real Betis 5-2 in La Liga's second round of matches, on a weekend when Atletico Madrid also won but Real Madrid surprisingly dropped two points at home.

Barca began brightly but fell behind after being caught on the break by Nabil Fekir, and it wasn't until the 41st minute that they were level after Griezmann opened his Barca account with a stretching shot after a pass from Sergi Roberto.

Griezmann netted his second early in the second half as the floodgates opened for Barca. Youngster Carles Perez made it 3-1 with a cool finish and Jordi Alba also scored before Arturo Vidal added a fifth for the league champions, who were without the injured Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Loren netted a late consolation for Betis, and there was further reason to cheer for Barcelona, as 16-year-old Ansu Fati came off the bench to become the second youngest debutant in the club's history.

It may be a new-look Atletico Madrid this season, but the results look very similar to last year, as Vitolo's goal gave Diego Simeone's side a 1-0 win away to Leganes to maintain their 100 percent start to the season.

Real Madrid took a step backwards after kicking off the season with a 3-1 win away to Celta Vigo, as Zinedine Zidane's side were held 1-1 at home to Real Valladolid.

Gareth Bale, Isco and James Rodriguez all started, but Madrid struggled to break down a well-organized defense and it wasn't until the 81st minute that Benzema opened the scoring.

Valencia disappointed again as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat away to Celta Vigo, as rumors over the future of Spain international Rodrigo Moreno were given further credence by his presence on the subs' bench.

Espanyol disappointed again as they were held 0-0 away to Alaves, in another game which highlighted their need to sign a replacement for departed striker Borja Iglesias.

Martin Odegaard's first goal for Real Sociedad gave them a 1-0 win away to newly-promoted Mallorca, as the Norwegian scored a calm finish after being teed up by Portu on the break.

On Friday night, Joan Jordan's 53rd minute goal gave Sevilla a 1-0 win in an intense Andalusian derby away to Granada, but despite losing, the newly-promoted side showed they can compete well in the top flight.

Meanwhile, two penalties by Roger Marti saw Levante claim their first win of the season in a 2-1 triumph at home to a Villarreal team that missed too many chances.
