体坛英语资讯：Paraguay to meet Peru, Mexico in friendlies

ASUNCION, Dec. 26 -- Paraguay will meet Peru and Mexico in March friendlies as part of the team's preparation for the 2019 Copa America in Brazil, the Paraguayan Football Association (APF) said on Wednesday.

The Albirroja will face Peru at New Jersey's Red Bull Arena on March 22 and Mexico at Santa Clara's Levi's Stadium four days later, the APF said in a statement.

Paraguay, currently ranked 32nd in the world, named Juan Carlos Osorio as their head coach in September, less than three months after the Colombian led Mexico to the last 16 of the World Cup in Russia.

The 57-year-old has said he plans to instil his trademark high-intensity playing style with Paraguay while utilizing their traditional aerial superiority.

The Copa America will be played in five Brazilian cities from June 14 to July 7.
