体坛英语资讯：Indonesia boosts defense ahead of match against Cambodia in AFF U-22 LG CUP

JAKARTA, Feb. 21 -- Indonesian U-22 soccer team attempted to strengthen defense a day before facing host Cambodia at the AFF Under-22 LG Cup 2019 at the National Olympic Stadium in Phmom Penh, Indonesian team coach Indra Sjafri disclosed on Thursday.

The effort was made after conceding three goals to their opponents Myanmar and Malaysia during the group B games, the coach revealed.

Shjafri said he would prefer to conduct an individual approach as it was difficult to improve weaknesses of the team only within one day.

"The mistakes and weaknesses could not be fixed only within one day but we will certainly improve it by applying individual approach. We will give solution to them," he was quoted by state's Angara news wire as saying.

Back line of the Indonesian squad has played with a high disciplinary level, but they still could not stop the three goals from happening.

A victory over Cambodia in the upcoming match on Friday is a prerequisite for the Indonesian squad to advance into the semifinals.
