体坛英语资讯：Indonesian baseball team eyes gold at 2019 SEA Games

JAKARTA, Dec. 20 -- Indonesia's national baseball team aims to win gold in the forthcoming 2019 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines.

The upbeat target was made based on the recent performance of the Indonesian team which, along with the Philippines, is among the strongest in the Southeast Asia region, said Dana Kusumo, head of sporting development of the country's baseball association.

"The team from the Philippines is always the strongest opponent for Indonesia," he said.

Practicing overseas is key measure aimed at boosting the skill of the players ahead of the Games, Kusumo said on Wednesday night.

"We have set a schedule to practice in foreign countries," he said, adding that there are also plans for the team to participate in some domestic tournaments.
