LONDON, Dec. 15 -- Gabriel Jesus scored twice and Raheem Sterling added a header to gift Manchester City a 3-1 win over Everton on Saturday and return to top of the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola's men were always in control and deserved the three points that proved the perfect riposte to last weekend's loss at Chelsea.
They are now two points ahead of Liverpool, who could regain the top place if they beat Manchester United at home on Sunday.
Jesus, who had not scored a league goal since August, scored his first league goal in 12 matches on a through pass from Leroy Sane in the 26th minute.
