On Attending CET-4 and CET-6 Repeatedly 关于多次参加大学英语四、六级

College students can take part in the CET-4 and CET-6 repeatedly in the recent years. Different people have different opinions about this phenomenon. Some approve to have such opportunity to past this exam, while others hold the opposite opinion for some reasons. As far as I am concerned, I agree with the later one.

最近，大学生可以多次参加大学英语四、六级考试。不同的人对这现象有不同的观点。有些人赞成因为有这样的机会去通过考试，而有些人则因为某些原因持反对的观点。就我而言，我同意后者。

First of all, there is no need to take part in CET-4 and CET-6 repeatedly. Before attending the exam, students have to take some time to do some preparation, which will occupy a part of their time. You know that the study time is so precious for students. In addition, CET-4 and CET-6 are not the only way to show their ability in English. It just an exam to show people they have master some basic English knowledge. It doesn’t worth people take a lot of time to attend it. Students should spend more time on their major study. Secondly, students will not work hard for having several chances to past CET-4 and CET-6. If students know that they can attend the exam repeatedly until they pass it, they will not work hard on it or pay attention on it. As they fail this time, they can do it next time. They have no reason to worry about it. This will increase the laziness and procrastination of students, which is not good for them.

首先，没必要多次参加大学英语四、六级考试。参加考试前，学生要花时间做准备，这会占据他们的一部分时间。对于学生，学习时间是那么的珍贵。此外，大学英语四、六级考试不是唯一展示英语实力的方式。只是一次向大家展示所掌握的基本英语知识的考试。这不值得大家花那么多时间去参加。他们应该多花点时间在专业学习上。其次，因为有多次机会去参加四、六级考试，他们不会很努力的。如果学生们知道他们可以一直参加考试直到通过，他们不会在这上面努力或者特别注意的。因为他们这一次不及格的话，下次还可以继续考。他们没有理由要去担心。这会加重学生的懒惰性和拖延症，对他们是不好的。

In general, according to the exam CET-4 and CET-6 themselves and the situation of students, I don’t think it is wise to let students attend the exam repeatedly.

总的来说，根据大学英语四、六级的自身情况以及学生的情况，我不认为让学生多次参加这个考试是明智的。
