One the biggest areas in which men and women are still not equal is wages. Research from the Pew Research Center shows that women earned only about 82 cents for every dollar their male counterparts made in 2017. This means a woman would have needed to work an extra 47 days to earn what men did.

男女不平等现象依旧存在的最明显表现为：工资不平等。皮尤研究中心的研究表明，2017年，男性每赚一美元，女性只能赚82每分。这意味着女性还得再工作47天，其收入才能达到男性水平。

Parental leave

Another area in which men and women are still not equal is parental leave. Not only do men get less time off to spend with their newborns than women do, but they are also judged more harshly by their colleagues for taking time off.

男女不平等还体现在育婴假方面。相比女性，男性的育婴假更短，陪宝宝的时间也更短，而且同事对于男性修育婴假的态度也更为苛刻。

Research from the United States Department of Labor has found that just 57 per cent of working-age women participate in the labor force, compared to 70 per cent of working-age men.

Most consumers probably aren't even aware there is a "pink tax" on many products and services, such as dry cleaning, personal care products, and vehicle maintenance. On average, women are charged an extra $1,350 per year for the same things that men buy.

It's 2018, but it's still not considered socially acceptable for men to express their emotions. Recently, a video of a pair of professional baseball players went viral because it showed the close friends being affectionate during a game. Hateful comments were made about the players' public display of affection. Whether it's affection or sadness, men aren't often afforded the opportunity to express how they feel.

Sexual assault

Women are more likely than men to fall victim to sexual assault. In fact, statistics released by the Pentagon in 2013 showed that American women serving in Iraq or Afghanistan were more likely to be raped by a comrade than killed by an enemy.
