体坛英语资讯：Britain win womens 4x100m relay

BERLIN, Aug. 12 -- Britain reaped the gold medal in 41.88 seconds in the women's 4x100m relay final at the European Championships in Berlin Olympic Stadium on Sunday.

The Netherlands finished second in 42.15 seconds followed by Germany with 42.23 seconds.

"With this competitors the outcome is a success. It can't get any better. I think we can be very proud about winning the bronze medal on home soil," Germany's Tatjana Pinto said.

The European Championships is the first edition of a new multi-sport event, which is jointly hosted by Glasgow and Berlin. More than 4,500 athletes are competing for 187 gold medals until Aug. 12.
