体坛英语资讯：Real Madrid present Brazilian teenager Vinicius Jr at Bernabeu

MADRID, July 20 -- Real Madrid on Friday presented 18-year-old Brazilian attacker Vinicius de Oliveira Junior to the press and fans at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

The teenager joins Real Madrid for an estimated 45 million Euros from Brazilian club Flamengo, where he scored 14 goals in 70 first team appearances.

According to reports in the Spanish press, he will not be loaned out, but will either remain as a member of the first team squad or join Real Madrid's B team Castilla in order to continue his development.

Vinicius said that he had come from a simple family, and that it was an honor to join Real Madrid at 18 years old.

"I will show the coach and my companions that I am ready to play and I will try to learn as quickly as possible. I know it will not be easy to adapt, but I will do everything possible," he commented, adding that he had rejected other clubs to join the European Champions.
