NAIROBI, June 8 -- Kenya Rugby Sevens head coach Innocent Simiyu has warned there will be no room for complacency in Paris on Saturday in the final round of the World Series.

Simiyu noted that the battle for a place in the Kenya team at next month's Sevens World Cup in San Francisco will inspire the players to give of their best, even after they surpassed their season's target of hitting the 100-point mark with one leg to spare.

"We have the World Cup coming up soon and the players know they must be at their best to be named in the team. That will inspire them to work hard," said Simiyu on Thursday.

There are no changes or additions to the Kenya side that currently sits seventh on the series log having amassed 101 points, as they head into the final round of action at the Stade Jean-Bouin in Paris.

"The players are all strong and well-conditioned. What remains is to push them a little and let them maintain the consistency desired to win. We need to cap our season with a main cup win and hopefully Paris will be good to us,' said Simiyu.

The men's pool draw in Paris sees series leaders Fiji in a tough group with third-placed New Zealand, Kenya and Samoa in Pool A. South Africa, who are hot on the heels of Fiji, have been drawn to play Canada, Russia and Scotland.

Pool C sees Ireland fresh from their surprise bronze medal triumph in London take on Australia, Wales and Spain. In Pool D, hosts France are drawn with England, Argentina and the USA.

At the bottom end of the standings, relegation matters will be resolved as one women’s and one men's team will drop out of the core teams for the 2018-19 series to be replaced by China and Japan respectively, following their victories at the qualification event in Hong Kong in April.

Russia currently occupies the relegation spot in the men's series, while Japan are in danger of dropping out of the women's series.
