A study has found that left-handed drivers are more likely to get a speeding fine and cause more accidents.

一项研究发现，左撇子司机更易收到超速罚单、引起的事故更多。

Some 28% of left-handers said they had received a speeding fine, compared to 19% of right-handers.

约28%的左撇子表示自己收到过超速罚单，而在惯用右手的人中这一比例为19%。

And 26% of left-handers have received a parking fine compared to 23% of right-handers.

约26%的左撇子收到过违章停车罚单，而在惯用右手的人中这一比例为23%。

研究发现左撇子司机更易出事故1

Left-handers are involved in more serious car accidents - having an average of nine significant incidents during their 60-year "driving life-time", compared to eight for right-handed motorists.

左撇子发生严重交通事故的次数更多，60年驾驶生涯中，左撇子平均发生9次严重事故，与之相比，惯用右手者为8次。

The study, commissioned by Privilege Car Insurance, concluded: "Right-handers rule the road. Right-handed people are better drivers than their left-handed counterparts."

“优先权车辆保险”公司委托开展的这项研究总结称：“惯用右手者更擅长驾驶。与左撇子相比，惯用右手者是更好的司机。”

But it added: "Overall, though, left-handers are more likely to pass their test first time round. They also tend to have fewer minor bumps and scratches in the car than right-handers."

但该研究也指出：“不过总的说来，左撇子考驾照更容易一次通过。他们发生车辆轻微碰撞或剐蹭的次数也往往比惯用右手者少。”
