我国网络视频市场规模将破800亿元

A research report said the online video market in China is projected to exceed 80 billion yuan by the end of this year.

一份研究报告指出，我国网络视频市场规模预计将在今年年底前超过800亿元。

The report by Guduo Media, a Beijing-based research institute, said the audience for online videos reached nearly 550 million by December last year, prompting the internet entertainment market to generate 60 billion yuan in 2016, a 55.9% increase over the previous year.

根据北京研究机构骨朵传媒发布的这份报告，截至2016年12月，我国网络视频用户规模接近5.5亿人，促使这一网络娱乐市场去年创收600亿元，同比增长55.9%。

The market that includes online video dramas, entertainment shows and films is anticipated to surge to 85.6 billion yuan by the end of 2017, according to the report.

报告称，包含网剧、网络综艺和网络大电影在内的网络视频市场规模预计将在2017年年底前飙升至856亿元。

The online drama segment alone will reach 50 billion yuan in revenues by 2020.

到2020年，仅网剧市场收入就将达到500亿元。

The report said the quality of online video programs have developed and attracted a rapidly growing audience.

The number of paid subscribers is also projected to increase dramatically over the next two years.

A large survey in early 2017 found over half of viewers are willing to pay to watch online dramas and entertainment shows, while 29% are willing to pay for online movies on demand.
