北京金融街购物中心“黑天鹅”搬家

11月28日上午，北京金融街购物中心大厅的展示台上出现了一只“黑天鹅”艺术品展示，而不到半天的时间，这只“黑天鹅”就被金融街购物中心工作人员搬走。

On Monday, a huge black swan sculpture was placed inside the entrance of a swanky shopping centre in Beijing's financial district, which is across the road from China's Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC). It sat there for half a day before being covered up and whisked away by shopping mall staff, Beijing's Fazhi Wanbao newspaper reports.

北京《法制晚报》报道，北京金融街购物中心入口处出现了一只巨型“黑天鹅”雕塑艺术品，不到半天的时间，这只“黑天鹅”就被购物中心工作人员搬走。金融街购物中心对面就是证监会。

在金融领域，黑天鹅事件（black swan event）指突然发生、难以预测的事件（a highly unlikely and unpredictable event），通常会引起市场连锁负面反应甚至颠覆。

最早的时候，人们认为天鹅都是白色的，因为在所有的历史记录中，天鹅的羽毛都是白色的。于是，black swan就成了不可能（impossible）和不存在（non-existent）的代名词。罗马讽刺派诗人尤文纳最早用到这个表达，他在诗中将某个事物描绘为“世间罕有之鸟，酷似黑天鹅（a rare bird in the lands, and very like a black swan）”。

后来在1697年，一群荷兰探险家在西澳大利亚发现了黑天鹅，black swan这个表达也就有了“事先以为不可能的事后来证明是可能的”这样一个内涵。

学者Nassim Nicholas Taleb在他2007年的著作《The Black Swan》中对“黑天鹅事件”（Black Swan）给出了定义，他认为，一个事件是否可以被称为“黑天鹅事件”需具备以下三个特点：

First, it is an outlier, as it lies outside the realm of regular expectations, because nothing in the past can convincingly point to its possibility.

一、该事件为意外发生，在正常期许之外，此前没有任何迹象可以指向该事件发生的可能性。

Second, it carries an extreme 'impact'.

二、该事件产生极端“影响”。

Third, in spite of its outlier status, human nature makes us concoct explanations for its occurrence after the fact, making it explainable and predictable.

三、在事件发生以后，人类的本性会让我们忽视其异常性，而是编造一些理由解释其发生的缘由。
